| Technical and Tactical |
| Emphasis is placed on developing the player's technical
and tactical skills in the five situations of play: serving, returning,
rallying, approaching, and passing, according to each player's own game
style. |
| Physical/ Mental |
The physical training program is designed to challenge each
individual to reach his/ her full potential while paying particular attention
to the basic principles of peak training as they apply to each athlete.
The focus of the mental training program is to teach each student how to
cope with the psychological demands of the competative arena. Students
will learn to compete by using strategies like goal-setting, time
management, body language control, and relaxation. |
| Movement |
By training movement skills on the court, as opposed to off the court,
we teach more applicable techniques for match play. Athletes that are trained
to be faster in the forty yard dash off of the tennis court do not always
improve their speed to the short ball. With the on-court movement training,
each athlete is equipped with the specific movement skills needed to reach
the short ball faster and with better balance. |
| Competitive Program |
| Players will regularly participate in match play as well as
local, satellite, and ITF tournaments. |
